I have always had a passion for learning new things, but I did not necessarily know that. I have never been particularly fond of school and because of this, pursued many different paths after graduating high school. I attempted chemical engineering and nursing but never truly felt at home in those fields. After an unforeseen event, I was driven to consider all my options and which path I wanted my life to take. After much consideration I came to the realization that all the instances where I found something interesting occurred because I was learning something new.

To follow this fact I had discovered, I investigated software engineering. I reached out to a software engineer to show me the basics of what he does and was immediately hooked. The information he gave me sparked my own online research. After a few months of teaching myself and loving every moment of it, I decided to take a C++ class at my local college. My love for the subject continued to grow with my knowledge and I realized that these college classes were not going to be enough.

Because of this, I decided to fully immerse myself in the program called LearningFuze. At LearningFuze, I completed three full applications with my teammates and five solo applications. During my time in the course, I learned not only how to program production level applications, but also the skills I needed to be a part of a development team in the workplace. Now, with about two years experience, I can confidently say that I am a developer.
